Coleslaw
Coleslaw is a classic side dish that is perfect for summer barbecues and picnics. It’s a refreshing, crunchy and easy to make side dish that goes well with many different types of food
Ingredients
- 1 head of green cabbage finely shredded
- 1 large carrot grated
- 1/4 cup of diced red onion
- 1/4 cup of mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons of Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons of honey
- 1 clove of garlic minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, grated carrot, and diced red onion.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, honey, minced garlic, salt and pepper.
- Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and toss gently to combine.
- Cover and refrigerate the coleslaw for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
- Before serving, give the coleslaw a good toss and adjust the seasoning if needed.
